Our Story

Soothe Our Souls was created after a trip to India. A search for the softest fabric - it had to be block printed. A desire to create something for women, by women. A passion for helping others achieve relaxation at the end of a S.O.S kind of day.  A style that was comfortable for women of all ages and with stylish packaging.  

My love for India started in 1998 when I met my husband. Growing up, I never knew anything other than Texas. India is full of traditions, deep culture, vivid colors and amazing food! 

Upon my first trip to India, as I walked off the plane, I was hit in the face with the SMELL. Anyone who has ever gone to India has experienced this. Secondly as you exit the airport, you are greeted by hundreds of people waiting on their loved ones or drivers trying to get you to take their rickshaw. Third is the noise you hear, horns honking & people talking loudly. I like to think of India as an assault of your senses. 

The people of India are just as beautiful as the fabric.  They are soft and kind. They are very colorful. They are the hardest working people I have ever seen. No matter what their job is, they do it well and with integrity. They always offer to feed you and make sure you are well taken care of. The hospitality is on a different level. 

This photo is in Jaipur, the Pink City. This is where magic happens.  I saw India in a different way. I saw myself in a different way.  I was turning 50 and was determined to do something that was fulfilling for the next 50 years.  I set out on a mission to start a business. 

Woman globally have so many challenges each day. I wanted to come up with something that could help Soothe Souls Globally. I searched over and over, but kept coming back to what was the most soothing thing to me. My super soft cotton pajamas.  After many emails, phone calls & back and forth. Soothe Our Souls, S.O.S PJs & more was born.  

S.O.S PJ's mission is to Soothe Souls Globally One Envelope at a Time. S.O.S PJs & Robes all come in a fashionable matching envelope. The envelope takes the place for wrapping paper or those gift bags that end up in our landfills. Not only is it a cute way to deliver your gift, the envelope can be used for a clutch, a pillow, a travel bag & many other things. S.O.S PJs only uses block printed fabric that is 100% cotton & hand sewn. Our products are hand made from the start to finish.
